This spectacular kitchen went from drab to striking while retaining the home’s original Mediterranean flavor. Opening the wall and creating a single arch entry brought the kitchen, bar and family room into harmony, offering free-flowing access from one space to another. A splendid backsplash and custom hood draw the eye to a beautiful statement wall with floating shelves for a touch of greenery and small crockery items. The island was reconfigured to accommodate 5 seats and a microwave drawer. Omega cabinets were custom fit to the arched niche, while mission-inspired pendants and dark wood ceiling beams accentuate the home’s Spanish style interest. On the counter walls, a farmhouse sink and 48″ Wolf range were placed respectively, underscoring the room’s elegant symmetry.
