Project Description
This project presented a beautiful, newer home that the owner wanted customized for their social lifestyle. A lovely dining room with a wood beamed ceiling faced out onto a courtyard. Behind the far wall was a large walk-in pantry that was never used. The owner’s vision was to expand into the pantry space to create a sophisticated bar. The finished project is a fully functioning wet bar with all the trimmings and small appliances – more of a “mini-Kitchen,” as well as a spectacular showcase statement. Cabinetry provides ample storage for wine, liquor, glassware and more. A pair of refrigerator drawers, a wine fridge and a small dishwasher were added for the ultimate convenience in entertainment. A pony wall provides a counter with a couple of seats, so the bartender can have company while fixing drinks. In the neighboring Great Room, the island was refashioned with coordinating cabinetry and a 60″ work sink to complete the homeowner’s ideal upgrade for their social lifestyle.
