An ordinary kitchen was transformed to make a stunning statement of clean white surfaces and classical elements. The sleek, rectangular island offers ample storage and comfortable seating space, at the same time creating a central focus of a perfectly balanced room. With the sink moved to the center of the island, there is additional room for eating, serving and prepping. The 48″ range, which also features a pot filler, created extra wall space for the 2 built-in refrigerators to line the wall where the double ovens used to be. The sink window, offering a view, was changed from a normal sliding variety to a dramatic Palladian picture window. In perfect symmetry, a microwave speed oven and coordinating steam oven occupy the same wall, along with a duo of lighted, glass inset cabinets and a set of elegant sconces. Harmonizing the room are a pair of classical pendants in gold finish, coordinating with the cabinet hardware. Natural wood floors anchor the space, completing a look that is both inviting and magnificent.
